Whilst I’m not somebody who packs up my candles to take away with me on holiday, I do think there are some good uses for travel candles. For me it’s all about being able to try a luxury candle at a fraction of its normal retail price! ARK Skincare have just released their latest innovation and this time it’s all about spring candles. I’m here to give you the low down on the Ark Skincare Travel Candle…
ARK Skincare is a lovely british brand, who make all their candles right here in the UK. They are somewhat famous for their travel collection, which is highly sought after by their fans. The spring candle from ARK Skincare is all about bringing rose into your home. It’s a delicious combination of Rose Bulgaria, Rose Geranium, Bois de Rose and notes of Violet. On paper it sounds a little heavy on the rose, but in reality it is actually a very modern and very subtle scent. The candle arrives in a grey box, which is decorated with simple white writing. On the front there is a handy sticker, which has a metallic colour to match the scent inside. On this candle it’s a pretty dark pink, which I think is a really lovely touch.
When you open the box you find a silver tin, which actually has no branding on it at all. When you pop off the lid you find the candle, which has actually been hand poured into the tin. As you burn the candle it releases the scent (although it gives off a lovely scent when it’s unlit too) which lasts for 22 burning hours.
The travel candle is part of a larger travel line from ARK Skincare. If you don’t like the sound of this candle, there are two others you can choose from. There’s Vanilla, Sandalwood & Amber (which has a lovely sweet and earthy aroma) and there’s Geranium, Eucalyptus & Peppermint (which is a more spa like scent – this one sounds like my favourite!) All the ARK Skincare candles are available now – you can pick them up from the ARK Skincare website. They are priced at £15 each, which is actually pretty reasonable.
